Bubble, Bubble, Toot, Toot, Chicken, Airplane, Soldier

Swimming lessons started this week. Kylie and Matthew have been asking since January, "when does swimming start?" I don't think many things excite them as much as swimming - it doesn't start until 4, but they are in their suits by lunch time.

That's Kylie, in the blue suit, trying to float. They've had swimming before...I am hoping this year they actually learn to swim.

Graduation #2

Matthew had his 2nd preschool graduation last week - even though he still has a week of school left. This one was for his developmental preschool that he LOVES.

Way to go Mattie! The little guy next to him is one of his favorite friends. They are so cute together. We see him at Target with his mom all the time, and they call each other's names across the store and run and hug. No joke. It's adorable. I'm sure I'm biased, but I think special-ed kids are the sweetest, most loving kids.
I know you're impressed with my amazing photo-taking abilities. Such quality. But, look close, that's my little class clown showing off his dance moves for the crowd.
Miss Kelley has been Matthew's teacher for 2 years, and we sure are going to miss her. Matthew has already cried a few times when I told him Miss Kelley would not be his teacher next year. We are very excited that Matthew is ready for a regular kindergarten class though - he is doing awesome!

Rockin' Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my Dad! I don't think he reads my blog, so Mom tell him Happy Father's Day from me again. Happy Father's Day to my brother's-in-law too. I love you all!
The kids gave Daddy Rock Band for Father's Day. He is very pleased with their choice. This is actually them playing yesterday...they could not keep a secret of such exciting magnitude, so John received his present a day early. He got a boring shirt and tie from Mommy this morning with his breakfast in bed.

I was a chaperone this week for Kylie's class zoo trip. Here she is with a bunch of her cute little friends. Her favorite little friend is in the picture, but since I don't have any parent permission or anything, I won't name names.

"I'm outta here." I think this picture of Kylie is so funny. This leopard was really cool, he stayed in front of the glass growling at us for about 10 minutes. I always feel so bad for the animals at the zoo. It just seems so wrong that they are stuck in there - poor things.

We had lunch with "Carl and Frank." I will give the first person who can name that movie a little prize. Seriously. You can choose girly hairbows (the kind I make for Kylie) or a $5 Target gift card. I know, I know such a big giveaway you can hardly contain yourselves.

Big Day

Matthew had his preschool graduation tonight. He was so cute up on stage singing and waving. He is ready for kindergarten!

Also today, Kylie's kindergarten class had their practice run for eating lunch at school next year. She was sooo nervous, but she did awesome. I am so not ready to have her gone at school all day.

It Only Took 6 Years

Yay! New paint and sofas in the family room. This space has intimidated me since day one in our house, and I finally said enough and just went for it. The wall color looks like chocolate milk, and the sofas are a deep red.
The kids are rather happy about it as you can see.
Sorry for the fuzzy picture...but here is the reason for my procrastination. Huge, tall vault. Just didn't know what to do with it. So, we decided to break it up with paint. It's not quite finished yet - I'll be adding white molding where the two colors meet and some other stuff. If you want to see more you will have to come visit me :)
The kids also had their last baseball game this week. I have to say I think we are more of a soccer family. Baseball was ok, but really just not as fun as soccer.
Matthew was Mr. Social. He was much more interested in chatting with the other players than he was interested in the actual game. I don't think it was fast-paced enough for him.
Kylie really enjoyed playing - she loves playing all sports. Although, she did have to turn and smile for the camera every time she ran by me.

Where am I?
